- Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a Project Manager to coordinate and provide expert project management of water resources engineering projects from the feasibility level through design, construction, and ultimate turnover to project beneficiaries. Works with federal representatives and stakeholders to identify project tasks, including scope of work, purpose, timing, and resource allocations. Initiates, manages, administers, and approves plans that translate project objectives into completed functional phases. Plans, programs, and oversees cost and schedule execution of project planning, design, and construction. Evaluates status of projects against established milestones and objectives. Participates on various water resources technical teams and recommends solutions to problems for which accepted methods are not directly applicable. Reviews plans, proposals, and specifications prepared by others for the improvement or alteration of existing and proposed water projects. Negotiates and resolves any differences on sensitive policy and project planning issues.
