About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), GSL. This position is a Supervisory Interdisciplinary DB-05 (GS-15) position and can be filled at any of the series below under Additional Information.
- Serves as the Chief for the Geosciences and Structures Division (GSD).
- Ensures integration of civil works research and development activities across all functional programs, maximizing the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory's ability to execute an effective, quality research and development program.
- Develops, plans, manages, directs, and properly executes complex theoretical and applied research and development programs
- Uses expert technical knowledge and skills in force protection/force projection and civil works.
- Manages and directs complex technical programs from planning and marketing to execution and transition to develop technologies for the Army.
- Anticipates future requirements and demands for assets and resources and creates strategies to meet those requirements and demands when they arise.
- Exercises a high level of technical and professional competence to continually develop and execute new technology research.
